Controlled administration

Public registration is disabled. Administrators can create accounts and view aggregate statistics, but the admin panel does not expose message content for inspection.

New messages and attachments are encrypted on the server by default. Historical data is not bulk-migrated, keeping deployment and maintenance straightforward.

EdgeChat is an edge-hosted chat system inspired by products such as VoceChat. Its goal is to let anyone launch a private chat platform with minimal setup and very low operating costs.

It runs entirely on the Cloudflare ecosystem and includes accounts, group chats, direct messages, file uploads, and an administration panel. GitHub Actions can deploy it automatically to Cloudflare Workers.
